Lost-wax brass, cast the way it was 4,000 years ago
Dhokra metalwork is cast by the lost-wax method: a clay core wrapped in fine wax threads, coated again in clay, then fired so molten brass takes the wax's place. Every piece breaks its mould — no two are ever the same.
Cast by tribal metalsmiths of the central Indian belt.
